Reiki - the universal power from the cosmos:

The term "Reiki" (pronounced Ree-Kii) comes from Japanese and is described as universal life energy or universal light power, a gift from the universe.
The word "Reiki" consists of the two word syllables "Rei" and "Ki". "Rei" means soul, innermost, all-embracing. Ki" (Japanese) is known as the corresponding term "Chi" or "Qi" from the Chinese teachings of Tai Chi or Qi Gong. In other cultures it also appears as Prana, Orgon, Odem etc. "Ki" means inner essence, the sum of all the characteristics of a person.

The aim of Reiki is to create harmony on all levels of being, i.e. in the body, in consciousness and in the area of the soul. Nobody can say exactly how "Reiki" works in detail. It aims to bring people into harmony with themselves, with nature and with the cosmic energies through the targeted laying on of hands. Reiki wants to achieve healing and higher consciousness, wants to promote spiritual growth and thus clear the way to enlightenment. In order to learn this Reiki technique, one needs a master (teacher) who repeatedly during a course opens the student's chakras, the radiation centres, in so-called attunements or Reiki consecrations, and lets the Reiki power flow in and seal it, which means that one can no longer get rid of it. During this process, the person has to close their eyes and fold their hands as if in prayer. So here one learns different hand positions which are assigned to the individual organs. There is a danger of dependence on the master and the use of secret signs.

There are different Reiki degrees:

• The first degree empowers to self-healing and healing of others through direct laying on of hands and the release of blockages.
• The second degree (Okuden degree - deep knowledge) increases the flow of energy and the concentration of light and enables distant healing.
• The third degree (master degree), with the corresponding mantra (short, formulaic sequence of words, which is often recited repeatedly) and the "holy master symbol". There is a further increase in power, which is meant to open the door to the true self. In the master degree the student becomes his own master, he recognises himself and his task on this earth.
• The fourth degree is the teacher's degree, which is meant to enable a person to initiate and teach other people in Reiki.

Reiki thus tries to change the universal force in man. This power, the divine life within us, must not be manipulated, because it is the power of the Holy Spirit. Access to this power is only through Jesus and through His way. Nothing in the cosmos can complement our nature. We are bearers of the mysteries of God, we do not need the inscrutable secret doings and knowledge of these practices. Out of ignorance, none of the participants can weigh the dangers into which they are putting themselves. Here, forces and energies are being worked with that destroy the human being. All esoteric healings are forces or phenomenon shifts at the expense of spirit and soul. Here the breeding ground can be set for later spiritual or mental derailments and degenerations. No one would look for the root here years later. Spiritual healers largely use Reiki powers to supposedly heal. Participants report about anxiety, depression, confusion, states of excitability and a lot more after Reiki courses and treatments and often need years of psychotherapeutic treatment.

Healing and liberation from all the practices and powers of esotericism happens when those affected have first personally renounced them. The Word of God, the word of liberation, sets free those who receive it with a sincere heart. It is contained in the Sacrament of Penance, in confession, through confession and absolution, through prayer and the blessing of a priest or father who knows about the destructive forces.
